Patan Durbar Square Sightseeing

Patan city is located in Lalitpur district 7km southeast of kathmandu city. This city is also called the City of fine Arts. All over the patan city you will get hundreds of fascinating Hindu and Buddhist monuments scattered. The most attraction of the patan city is Patan Durbar Square. This is protected by UNESCO as a world heritage site. In this Durbar Square you will get the most facinating monuments date back to the medieval malla period 15th to 17th century as the golden period of Nepalese art and architecture. The main attraction of this area is 21 golden pinnacles-krishna temple which is made up of only from stone. Other attraction of this Durbar site are Golden Gate and Golden Window of the old palace, the royal bath of Sundari chowk,Royal Taleju Temple,Viswa Nath Temple and Char Narayan Temple. Inside the Durbar Square art museum is also located where you will get the glimpse of artistic creation. Near to Patan Durbar square,another important temple of Hindu pilgrimage named kumleshwor Mahadev Temple. In every Thursday people gather to worship in this Temple with the belief of their inner desire will fulfill. Moreover people also believe that the water of Gosaikunda which is situated in the Rasuwa district and another holy place of Hindu comes in the pond which is below the Kumleshwor temple.
