Mt. Pumori, 7,0161m, is located in the Khumbu Region of Nepal, about 8km west of Mt. Everest along Nepal Tibet Border. Pumori Expedition, is another attraction in Nepal to mountaineers all over the world.Though Mt Pumori is below 8000m peak but it is technically challenging mountain so requiring climbers to have best experience in the expedition field. One of the most enjoyable experience on Pumari Expedition is that it give you chance to take stunning photograph of several white capped peaks including Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse. If you plan to climb Mt. Everest it will be better to climb Mt. Pumori first in order to collect necessary expedition experience for Mt. Everest. The trip of Mt Pumori Expedition starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. After completing the 11 days trek including the places of Namche Bazar, Thyangboche, Dangboche and Lobuje you will reach to the Mt. Pumori base camp. Real expedition on Mt. Pumori begins from its base camp. The base camp is just above Gorekh Shep at the height of 5300m. After base camp, you can set up first camp at the height of 5,650m, around the phase of Mount Pumori. You should set second camp at the ridge after the phase at the height of 6,000m. The most technical part for this peak is around camp 1 and 2. You should set camp 3 at the height of 6,480m, around the curve after the edge. You can ascend from the camp 3 to the top of Pumori. Most of the climbers frequently use this route every year for the Mt. Pumori Expedition.
